Director, Creative Culturalist
Rick joined Y&R in the fall of 2011 in the new position of Creative Culturalist. In this role, Rick works across multiple teams and disciplines to help accounts understand the changing nature of consumer behavior and the ways in which brands and consumers create and interact with culture.
Prior to joining Y&R, Rick was the Director of Digital Strategy at privately owned PR agency Coyne, and Sr. Social Media Planner at Dare. Hes worked with a variety of brands such as Gillette, MasterCard, Guinness, Burger King, Johnnie Walker and Allstate on both national and international programs.
He writes regularly about branding, marketing, social media and culture on his blog, http://www.rickliebling.com, and has written about an offshoot of transmedia storytelling he calls “intermedia” for Mashable. He has spoken at Social Media World on gamification and will be discussing SocialTV at the upcoming Millennial Mega Mashup in May.
